Violin/Fiddle
Violin/Fiddle
Did you know that the violin and the fiddle are the same instrument? What the instrument is called is dependent on what style of music you play. If you play classical music then you are learning the violin, but if you are playing bluegrass or country music, you are learning the fiddle! Whether you are taking violin or fiddle, you will be learning how to tune, hold, and take care of your instrument. You will learn scales and how to read music, and learn pieces in the style of music that you choose. Depending on the age and size of the student, a smaller scale violin may be needed to purchase.
Voice
Voice lessons are best started at age 6 or 7. The student must have muscle control to sing correctly, which should be taught at a young age to avoid bad habits. Lessons include correct breathing and control, basic music theory, ear training, harmony work, agility work, how to care for your cords, and also help with songs for audition and performances. All styles of music are taught!

When you begin lessons you will learn music notation, open position notes, barre chords, music theory, strumming patterns, scales, and how to tune and care for your instrument.
Mandolin
The mandolin is a fun instrument to play, and when you begin lessons you will first learn how to fret, scales, chords, and how to tune and care for your instrument. With progress you will learn more advanced techniques such as hammer-ons and pull-offs.

Everyone knows the coolest guy/girl in the band is the drummer! Come learn how to play! You will learn how to manage your gear, how to grip the sticks, all of the drum rudiments, stroke technique, basic drum beats, drum fills, hi-hat technique, cymbal technique, and more. Your instructor will also help with different groove types and feeling the rhythms.
Trumpet/Trombone/French Horn
For these brass instruments we offer lessons to help prepare for band or just for personal progress. All of the fundamental techniques will be taught including tonguing, correct breathing, correct posture, and tone development. Music theory and sight reading are also an important part of this learning process.
